Investment Advisor

Macquarie Capital Investment Management LLC ("MCIML") is the investment advisor to MGU and is responsible for determining MGU's overall investment strategy and overseeing implementation of that strategy through day-to-day portfolio management, subject to the general supervision of MGU's Board of Directors.

Since March 2004, MCIML has also served as an investment sub-adviser to the Macquarie/First Trust Global Infrastructure/Utilities Dividend & Income Fund, a registered closed-end fund which listed on the New York Stock Exchange in March 2004 (NYSE:MFD).

MCIML is a wholly-owned, indirect subsidiary of Macquarie Group Limited ("Macquarie Group") and a part of Macquarie Funds Group ("MFG") - the global asset management business of Macquarie Group - and its MFG Infrastructure Securities division.

Macquarie Funds Group is a full service fund manager with over 25 years experience offering a diverse range of products including managed funds across a wide range of asset classes, funds-based structured products, hedge funds and fund of funds. Macquarie Funds Group has global reach with over 600 staff across 19 global locations.


Portfolio Managers

MGU's Co-Portfolio Managers, Andrew Maple-Brown and Jon Fitch, are responsible for the day-to-day management of MGU. Mr. Maple-Brown and Mr. Fitch are also the Co-Portfolio Managers of MFD.

Mr. Maple-Brown joined Macquarie Funds Group's Infrastructure Securities investment team in 2007 as a Portfolio Manager based in Sydney with direct responsibilities for the management of the team's Australia and Asia based portfolios. In August 2009, Mr. Maple-Brown relocated to New York and assumed direct responsibilities for the management of the team's North America based portfolios (including MGU) from Justin Lannen, who returned to the investment team's Sydney office and assumed management of Andrew's original portfolios.

Mr. Maple-Brown joined Macquarie Group in 2001 in the Debt Markets division, where his focus was primarily on infrastructure transactions, particularly public-private partnerships. He also worked extensively on structured securitization transactions, including executing a whole range of business securitizations for both water and pub assets and commercial mortgage-backed securities.

Prior to Macquarie, Mr. Maple-Brown spent over 4 years at Lend Lease in its Project Finance group. In his roles at Lend Lease and Macquarie Debt Markets, he has had in excess of 10 years of experience in financing infrastructure and structured property transactions.

Mr. Maple-Brown holds a Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Hons, Mechanical) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Jon Fitch

Mr. Fitch has been Head of Macquarie Funds Group's Infrastructure Securities business, Chief Investment Officer of the investment team, and a Portfolio Manager across the portfolios in the Global Infrastructure Securities Strategy ("Strategy") since the Strategy's inception in 2004. He has been the Portfolio Manager of MGU since MGU's inception in 2005 and became Co-Portfolio Manager in 2007. He has been active in the analysis of infrastructure and utilities stocks since 1997 and has over 20 years of business experience encompassing business management, equity analysis, strategic consulting and banking.

Mr. Fitch joined Macquarie Group in 1995 as an analyst for Macquarie Securities Group (formerly known as Macquarie Equities Limited). From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Fitch led the equity research coverage of the entire Australian infrastructure sector and was responsible for coverage of companies across the sector, including tollroads, gas companies, electric utilities, airports and diversified funds.

From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Fitch was located in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for establishing a research team of five analysts and initiated research coverage on Asian infrastructure and utility stocks. The stocks he covered included airport, rail and multi-asset infrastructure investment companies, Hong Kong utilities, and Chinese power producers.

Mr. Fitch holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from the University of New South Wales, a Master of Business (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, of which he is a Fellow Member.
