Macquarie’s Real Estate Investment Trusts
are now managed by Charter Hall Group.

As announced on 12 February 2010:

  • The ownership of the managers of Macquarie Countrywide Trust, Macquarie Office Trust, Macquarie Direct Property Fund, Macquarie Property Income Fund and Macquarie Martin Place Trust has been transferred to Charter Hall;
  • This means that the majority of Macquarie’s REITs are now managed by the Charter Hall Group;
  • The acquisition does not include Macquarie DDR Management Limited, the manager of Macquarie DDR Trust (MDT). An announcement regarding the ongoing management of MDT was made on 22 April 2010.
  • Macquarie also transferred the asset service and property management businesses that support the Funds; and
  • Macquarie has become a major shareholder in Charter Hall.
