About MKAM

 

Macquarie Korea Asset Management (MKAM) was incorporated in Korea on 17 October 2002 and was licensed as an infrastructure asset management company under the Financial Investment Service and Capital Market Act (FSCMA) on 11 November, 2005. Subsequently, MKAM expanded its license to manage special asset funds per FSCMA on 24 June 2010.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Macquarie Group, MKAM is part of Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) of Macquarie Funds Group. MIRA is a global leader in the infrastructure finance sector, with recognised strength in both infrastructure funds management and infrastructure advisory services. The global infrastructure portfolio managed by MIRA on behalf of its managed funds and institutional and retail investors as of September 2011, included 88 businesses in 23 countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Korea and Japan.

MKAM’s Functions and Duties

MKAM is the sole manager of MKIF pursuant to the Management Agreement between MKIF and MKAM, dated December 13, 2002 (Management Agreement) and subsequently amended and restated on 27 February 2012.

As the asset manager, MKAM performs all representative functions for MKIF, provides management, investment and administrative services, including managing assets and monitoring custody, administration and sales agency services provided by the relevant service companies to MKIF, in accordance with the Management Agreement and other constituent documents of MKIF.
