Principle 15

Communication with shareholders

Companies should encourage greater shareholder participation at AGMs, and allow shareholders the opportunity to communicate their views on various matters affecting the company.

General meetings of shareholders will be convened at least once a year and shareholders will be allowed to vote in person or via proxy. There will be separate resolutions at general meetings on each distinct issue and the chairperson of the ARC, NCGC and RC will be present and available to address questions at the AGM. The external auditors are also invited to address queries from the shareholders regarding the audit.

MIIF prepares minutes of its annual AGM and makes these minutes available to shareholders upon their request.
