Terra Energy Corp

Terra Energy has engaged Macquarie Tristone to seek proposals for divesting up to 100% of its working interest in 219.25 sections (140,324 net acres) in the form of a sale or joint venture. The primary targets vary from Duvernay, Montney and Beaverhill Lake to the Dunvegan. This is an early stage exploration opportunity so there is no production or reserves assigned to the acreage. Consideration will be given to proposals for all lands or individual land parcels, including the stratigraphic segregating of P&NG rights on the Karr/North Ante Creek into three packages. The highlights are:

  • Duvernay rights in all areas within the wet gas window of the west basin, northwest and on trend of recent Kaybob drilling activity
  • Extensive third party infrastructure in proximity to Terra lands including oil handling and liquids-rich gas processing

Karr (51,289 acres)/North Ante Creek (45,545 acres)

  • The Karr/North Ante Creek parcel will be split stratigraphically into three packages; surface to base Nordegg, below base Nordegg to top Mississippian and Mississippian to basement
  • Duvernay potential immediately northwest of emerging Kaybob discoveries
  • Montney liquids-rich gas and light oil opportunities identified
  • Well drilling licenses are being pursued for Dunvegan oil filled channel play on Terra lands in proximity to established oil pools

Peoria (27,043 acres)

  • Montney, Charlie Lake and Wabamun oil and gas locations identified based on well leads

Sturgeon Lake (16,447 acres)

  • Montney, Wabamun and Leduc opportunites

Proposals due date has been adjusted from February 9 to February 16, 2012.

Proposals for the Terra Energy Corp. asset sale or joint venture are now due in writing no later than Thursday, February 16, 2012, 12:00 P.M. (Calgary Time).
