Overview

Macquarie Capital’s principal business, with its entrepreneurial, specialised service, is a key aspect of our strategy. We have a proven track record of providing capital to clients through the cycle.

Our robust balance sheet allows us to invest to support our clients – a willingness that demonstrates our belief in transactions we bring to our clients. As principal we are also motivated to execute cleanly and quickly.

We have a dedicated principal team who seek out transactions in which we can deploy our capital across a range of industry groups, structures and jurisdictions.

Our team looks for opportunities to assist our clients in the next stage of development of their businesses. The types of transactions where we can assist by using our balance sheet may include:

Pre-IPO expansion capital
Expansion capital for new products or new jurisdictions
Re-financing and more efficient use of capital structure

Our investment approach is to look for opportunities to invest in companies with strong growth profiles and sustainable competitive advantages. We look at all parts of the capital structure including but not limited to:

Common and preferred equity
Convertible bonds
Mezzanine debt.
