The boards of the Responsible Entities of the various GIF funds are comprised of four persons, two of whom are independent of Macquarie (Indpendent and Non-Executive Directors, including an Independent Chairman).
Independent Chairman
Yasmin is currently a non‑executive director of Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) and Chair of IAG's Audit Committee and a member of its Nomination, Remuneration and Sustainability Committee. She is also a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board. She was previously a director of Film Australia, EFIC and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service. Yasmin has extensive experience in company analysis and strategic advice, with prior roles in investment banking and equity analysis, both in Australia and overseas, including as vice president of Deutsche Bank in Sydney, a director of ANZ Investment Bank and as an associate director and European airline analyst with HSBC in London.
Independent Director
Duncan has broad experience in the mining, metals and auto industries where his focus areas included: transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and divestments; business analysis; and corporate planning. He worked for the international divisions of Chrysler and Ford until 1979, where he held areas of responsibility within Finance, marketing and production divisions in Brazil, Argentina, Australia and Europe.
In 1980 Duncan joined CRA Limited, where his most recent areas of responsibility were acquisitions and divestments, corporate strategy and business development. After CRA merged with RTZ in 1995, Duncan became managing director of Energy Developments in the re-named Rio Tinto, where he was responsible for the division’s strategy development and the management of acquisitions and divestments. Duncan retired from Rio Tinto in 1999.
Duncan is a Director of the ASX-listed DUET Group, and Haileybury College, Melbourne.

Chairman Macquarie Capital
Michael first joined Macquarie Bank in 1985 and has worked in the Macquarie Capital division since 1989. Michael was involved with the development of Macquarie’s Corporate Finance Division, of which he is now the Global Chairman. The Corporate Finance Division provides clients with advice on merger & acquisitions, corporate & project finance, debt & equity raisings, principal investing and management of infrastructure assets. He has led major international project transactions, cross border deals and corporate finance assignments across a number of companies, industries and countries. Michael holds several directorships on boards of companies outside of Macquarie, which include, amongst others, the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and the Export Finance and Insurance Corporation.

Chairman Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets
John joined Macquarie in 1991 and is the Global Chairman of Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets. John is either on the Investment Committee or a Director (or an Alternate Director) of the Macquarie Infrastructure Roads, Airports, Utilities, Media, Retirement and Private Equity funds, as well as the international Singaporean, Korean, Canadian, U.S. and European funds.
John has more than 27 years of banking and finance experience and provides both oversight and strategic expertise to Macquarie’s investment teams. Since joining Macquarie in 1991, John has held many key roles including head of Macquarie’s London office when overseeing Macquarie Capital’s activities throughout Europe.
