Foundation objectives
What we aim to achieve:
The Macquarie Group Foundation was established to formalise the Group’s community involvement program. The Foundation’s key objectives are:
- build and strengthen staff involvement in community activities globally
- build awareness (both internally and externally) of the Foundation’s achievements in the community
- ensure alignment of the Foundation’s programs with the Group’s business activities at both division and group-wide levels.
How we will achieve this:
- prioritise funding to those organisations where Macquarie staff are directly involved through personal donations, fundraising and volunteering
- focus funding on the areas of education, the arts, health research and health care, welfare and the environment
- prioritise funding to areas which reflect Macquarie’s goals and values
- provide some funding to national well-run organisations.
