Company History

  1. Started to work on cross-border leasing business from earlier 1990s
  2. 1999: Set up a representative office for Investment bank business in Tokyo
  3. 2000: Established Macquarie Japan
  4. 2000: Co-founded a golf course management company, Troon Golf with Greg Norman
  5. 2002: Set up a professional team for social infrastructure in Japan
  6. 2004: Closed Hakone Turnpike Toll Road buyout transaction. Invested through first ever Japanese Infrastructure funds set up in cooperation with DBJ (Development Bank of Japan)
  7. 2006: Closed Ibukiyama Driveway Toll Road buyout transaction.  First Kansai area infrastructure transaction for Macquarie
  8. 2006: Set up a new Joint venture with Shinsei Bank - Shinsei-Macquarie Advisory Co., Ltd.
