Macquarie Capital (MACCAP) is an international business with more than 2,300 staff located in 24 countries. The Group incorporates:

• Macquarie Capital Advisers, which includes advisory, equity capital markets and the
  Macquarie Capital Funds businesses
  
• Macquarie Capital Products, which manufactures and distributes retail financial products
  
• Macquarie Capital Funds, which carries out the Group’s asset financing activities

Macquarie Capital Advisers

Macquarie Capital Advisers in Asia provides advisory and capital raising services and undertakes principal and funds investments. The Corporate Finance team initiates, structures and executes a broad spectrum of transactions for corporations, institutions and governments, providing lateral solutions and delivering special value. The Group’s network of more than 300 corporate financiers in Asia and 1,500 globally delivers the highest standard of advice in relation to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestments, takeovers, debt, equity and hybrid financing, capital management, structuring and project financing.

Macquarie Capital Funds

Macquarie Capital Funds manages a range of specialist funds which continues to be an important part of MACCAP's strategy. Macquarie pioneered private sector acquisition and management of infrastructure. Today, the specialist funds portfolio managed by Macquarie includes more than 100 assets in 25 countries valued at more than US$100 billion which are used by millions of people daily. These assets include airports, tollroads, water utilities, ports, broadcast towers, gas distribution networks and social infrastructure.

Macquarie Capital Products

Macquarie Capital Products brings together the structured finance areas of MACCAP, advising and participating in corporate and project financing transactions where there is a wide range of structured finance and taxation issues.

Macquarie Capital Finance is a leading financial services provider to the corporate, professional and government sectors, creating tailored financial solutions using Macquarie's balance sheet.

As a graduate in Macquarie Capital Securities, you will have the opportunity to attend the Associate Analyst Program in Sydney with other graduates from all offices globally. This program includes presentations from the senior MACCAP management team to familiarise you with the Group and its activities; technical presentations including accounting, finance and sales; financial modelling and communications skills.

Master of Finance (Investment Banking)

In 2007, Macquarie, in partnership with INSEAD Business School, launched the Master of Finance (Investment Banking) degree. This is the first Masters degree in the world from a leading global business school tailored to investment banking professionals.

It combines INSEAD’s international reputation in business education with Macquarie’s years of experience and global success in the sector. Comprising modules in Finance; Accounting; Leadership, Strategy and Management; which each support a final ‘capstone’ module of Investment Banking Management. The end result is a globally recognised post-graduate qualification uniquely crafted for investment banking and a career at Macquarie.

The INSEAD Master of Finance (Investment Banking) degree is specifically designed for professionals at an early stage in their investment banking career.

Summer / Winter Vacation Programs

MACCAP's Summer & Winter Vacation Programs in Asia runs for 10 weeks from early June to mid-August and then from December to February so we can accommodate students from Asian, US, UK, and Australian Universities. You will be exposed to a dynamic working environment, with the opportunity to be involved in and contribute to high-profile transactions while working within the Corporate Finance or Macquarie Securities divisions.

In addition to working with the best people in the industry, you will be exposed to an informal work environment geared to learning and gaining transaction experience. You will spend the majority of the program on the job, however, you will also be provided with training and information sessions throughout the 10 weeks. You will attend an induction day, financial modelling, a presentation and communications session and presentations from each of the areas of MACCAP to gain a better understanding of the business.

In addition to providing you with technical skills and experience, the MACCAP Summer Vacation Program provides you with opportunities to develop your interpersonal skills through networking with current MACCAP employees at various social events.

At the conclusion of the program, MACCAP looks to offer graduate positions to students based on performance. This is a great chance to get a foot in the door at a leading investment bank and gain valuable work experience.
