Information Technology Group

The Information Technology Group (ITG) is responsible for the management of Macquarie's global technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems, and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. Each of Macquarie's business Groups have a dedicated IT team partnering with them to understand the Group's specific technology needs and to provide innovative and effective IT solutions.

As Macquarie continues to expand, there is increased IT activity globally. Our strategic vision is to deliver the leading-edge technology that is integral to Macquarie's growing success. Our key areas of focus are: our people, risk management, best technology, financial management and client service. Continued investment in technology is fundamental to Macquarie's strategy and is critical to support daily operations. In addition, technology is key to product and service differentiation in the financial services market.

Globally, Macquarie's IT teams fall into two main categories:

Infrastructure Technology Services

Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) teams are responsible for the management and delivery of technology infrastructure across all business Groups. We manage highly sophisticated global networks, enhance current technology platforms and provide progressive solutions for business enablement. We look to provide the best service in both the support and development of new solutions.

Account Management

Account Management teams are co-located with the major business Groups to develop, maintain and enhance mission critical systems. Using comprehensive business analysis these teams deliver quality IT solutions for the business Groups and their clients. In the Asian region, a number of Account Management teams exist to support a diverse range of business activities.

Graduate Program

Opportunities exist for graduates interested in applying their technical and analytical skills in an everchanging and varied environment. Graduates joining ITG will participate in a structured induction program and will work alongside talented and motivated professionals who will provide on-going support and training. As a graduate, you will learn about Macquarie's culture, goals and values; our management and organisation; and key professional skills which provide you with a supportive link between university and the corporate world. The development, social and community activities in the program ensure you establish a network of peer relationships whilst gaining solid experience on which to build your career.

Summer Vacation Program

Macquarie's Summer Vacation Program in Asia typically runs from June to August and provides an opportunity for students in their penultimate year of study to work full-time over the summer break.

Throughout the program you will benefit from hands-on experience, increased exposure to the financial services sector and an invaluable insight into the career opportunities offered in Macquarie's Information Services Division. The Summer Vacation Program provides an ideal opportunity to demonstrate your potential, and gives you a significant advantage when applying for graduate opportunities.
