The Song Room is a program that aims to give children from disadvantaged areas the opportunity to participate in music and performing arts to improve their engagement with school, literacy skills, concentration and self esteem. The Macquarie Group Foundation has provided a 3 year grant to research the benefits of arts interventions for juvenile crime prevention, indigenous and refugee youth.

With our help, the squirrel gliders of Burrin Burrin have a home.

Australian Bush Heritage has been raising money to buy and manage a network of conservation reserves, helping preserve threatened wildlife and natural ecosystems like Burrin Burrin in NSW, home to squirrel gliders, powerful owls and the regent honeyeater. Macquarie Group Foundation has provided Bush Heritage with a long-term capacity building grant to help maintain Australia’s ‘ecological infrastructure’.

The Macquarie Group Foundation supports The Prince's Trust Business Programmes, providing 30 young people each year with a start in business by offering low interest loans as well as on-going support and business mentoring.

To encourage children to read more books, our staff are going back to school.

The Big Buddy Reading Program aims to foster a love of books and learning. It began in Sydney with a few staff reading to students during their lunch hour. Today, the program has grown to include schools in Melbourne, Brisbane, Hong Kong and London.
