Social Innovation Summit

19 – 21 September 2008

The Social Innovation Summit on the 19th, 20th and 21st of September at Cypress Lakes in the Hunter Valley, NSW is an initiative of the Macquarie Group Foundation, with not for profit partners – Mission Australia, The Centre for Social Impact and Social Ventures Australia.

The 2008 summit occurs at a juncture in Australian political and social history when social inclusion concerns are under the spotlight.   Under Chatham House rules, all participants will have the opportunity to freely and frankly discuss impediments and successes to the delivery of better services to those most marginalised in the community.  This is a forum which will collect and connect thinkers and doers – from across the key three sectors – who have an active interest in creating more effective partnerships to create social change.

The Summit will pursue issues of interest to Government and other stakeholders around:

  • Service and engagement models
  • How impact and performance should be measured
  • Innovative funding models
  • The role of government, corporate and philanthropic giving
  • What is required to enable services to scale
  • How to sustain and support the links and relationships between the three sectors

The Summit is an invitation only event. Please click here to view the draft agenda for the Summit. This agenda will be updated as further information is received.
