Meet our people
Title: Business Analyst The focus of Macquarie on idea generation and private equity infrastructure holdings has established the firm in a hybrid space compared to many. This aspect was particularly appealing as it mirrored my experience in research and modelling during my biochemistry and finance studies. I am very fond of the collegial environment of the firm which encourages esoteric investment suggestions with weekly Analyst challenges wherein we pitch M&A ideas to our colleagues for review; and on a daily basis with informal peer interactions. The flat corporate structure also maintains information sharing and encourages development of skill sets to complement the formalized training sessions in New York and Sydney. Since joining the firm, I have been involved with multiple live transactions and assigned high level responsibilities providing brilliant deal exposure. As an Analyst in the Canadian resources space, I am much attuned to M&A activity and industry trends. Each day provides new insights about the market and it is exciting to work in a constantly changing environment. Macquarie is also renowned for its dedication to international experiences, in line with the old proverb that travel is education.
