MCG Notes Arqiva Acquisition of Inmedia

Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group (MCG) notes that Arqiva has today announced the acquisition of Inmedia Communications Limited from The Carlyle Group for £68.5 million.  Please see attached Arqiva’s announcement.

MCG owns 54% of Arqiva, which is one of two assets in MCG’s portfolio of communication infrastructure businesses.  MCG also owns 100% of Broadcast Australia.

MCG expects that this bolt-on acquisition by Arqiva will have a marginally positive impact on returns from the business to shareholders in the long term.

MCG’s distribution guidance for 2006 remains unchanged at 36 cents per stapled security.
